The industrial yarn business is characterized by the manifoldness of different applications. Almost everywhere in our daily live products with industrial yarn can be found for instance to reinforce, to give dimensional stability, to carry weight, to give fatigue resistance or to protect against water or sun. Each of these applications has its specific twisting and cabling quality demands in order to fulfil the final end-use requirements. The range of SwissTex twisting, assembling and cabling machines exactly fulfils this challenging target.

Two for One Twisters
The two for one twisting process is the most efficient twisting process. It provides protection twist on single yarns, improves yarn characteristics and enables the assembling and twisting of 2 or more plies in one single operation.

Universal Twister UT 50
The UT 50 is known for its huge flexibility in the industrial yarn market. Different products can be twisted on each spindle due to fully individual driven positions, from spindle to take-up. Regarding yarn count, this machine fulfils all requirements from 235dtex to 16,000dtex due to the 733mm gauge spindle and the free balloon process ensures a perfect yarn quality. A very large range of material can be processed, like for example polyamide, polyester, aramid, polypropylene, wool, cotton, etc….
The yarn construction, such as single end, parallel assembled yarn, first and second steps for the multi-end cabling process can be selected individually. The twist range can be varied between low and high twist levels.
An obvious feature of the UT 50 is, that it does not need a headstock, only an electrical cabinet for one or more modules. This saves floor space and permits a free workshop layout to ease the material flow. Progressive investment is now possible as no costly headstock is required to start with. Manufacturers can start with a short machine then increase the number of modules later.
The dialogue between the operator and the machine is realized by a standard PC with standard internet browser and through a network. All recipes for all UT 50 positions are readily available in the workshop.
Since the launching of the UT 50 machine, back in 2005, well appreciated for its flexibility and for the quality of yarn and package produced, SwissTex sets a reference for two-for-one twisting machines for industrial yarns.
Listening to the market demands, the machine range is continuously extended to offer the best product to answer all customers’ needs. Now a 900mm spindle gauge machine is proposed for twisting heavier yarns, which increases the yarn count range up to 60,000dtex.

UTC 60 – a step ahead in twisting & cabling: The Universal Twister & Cabler 60 enables either to twist yarn using the two-for-one principle or to cable yarn using the direct cabling principle. Getting one more process on the same machine is of course a big advantage for the yarn producers!

UTW 40 – one step process in assembling and twisting:. The UTW 40 enables to remove one step in the process chain while producing 3 ply cabled cord. It uses individual positions and the latest state of the art drives for a maximum flexibility.
